Das Art Blog

“Oh sweetie, you’ll never be as voluptuous as me if you keep scowling all the time.”
Makes no sense but I’m sticking to it.

On break, feels good man.  Gonna see if I can learn how to make my own website from scratch, probly won’t happen though.

Part 3 is up now, gonna take a couple days to chill and play some dota 2 before my next board.  Taking a stab at action now :p

“There Will Be Shrieks” Storyboard

Here’s Katie Rice’s Annie-nominated storyboard for the second part of the half-hour Halloween special, “There Will be Shrieks.” The Annies will be doled out at UCLA in February. For more of Katie’s funny, cute art, head on over to her funny, cute blog.

Fanboy storyboards are the best, so clean and easy to read.

Flapjack animatic from the board I did last quarter, was more successful than my Adventure Time one.

Part 2 of the animatic, same reason as before.  Part 3 will be uploaded later, other finals are in the way.

So I cut the animatic into pieces because 4:30 was too long to properly critique in class.

Storyboard <—— go there
Episode art is bleh, storyboard got rushed near the end.  Finals suck, but it’s done.  Posting animatics next.

I have nothing to say about these drawings

“Thank You” Storyboard

Here’s Tom Herpich’s storyboard for the Annie Award-nominated “Thank You.” It’s a good one. And you guessed it, the Snow Golem’s face wreath was inspired by a book of Hans Silvester photographs of Surma and Mursi decorations.

Such an amazing storyboard, everything about this episode is simply wonderful.
